What is a Label Right?
What is a Label Right?
Label right typically refers to a type of license that allows the buyer to rebrand and modify a product as their own and sell it under their name or label.
 Types of Label Right
Besides Private Label Rights (PLR), there are several other types of licensing rights that grant varying levels of permissions to the end user. Some common ones include:
Resell Rights (RR): With Resell Rights, the buyer can resell the content to their customers but cannot modify it. The buyer can claim the seller’s role, but not the authorship. Usually, you cannot pass the resell rights to your customers, so they can only use the product for personal purposes.
Master Resell Rights (MRR): Master Resell Rights allow the buyer to resell the product and also pass the resell rights to their customers. This means that your customers can, in turn, resell the product to their customers. However, MRR doesn’t grant permission to modify the content; the buyer cannot claim authorship.
Giveaway Rights: Giveaway Rights allow the buyer to give away the content for free, typically as a bonus or incentive for signing up for a mailing list, but not for resale. Modification of the content is not usually allowed, nor can you claim authorship.
Personal Use Rights (PUR): Personal Use Rights grant the buyer permission to use the content for their personal use only. The buyer cannot resell, redistribute, or claim authorship. Also, modifying the content is not allowed.
Public Domain: Public Domain refers to works that are not protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. This may be because the copyright has expired, the creator has relinquished their rights, or the work was never covered by copyright. Public Domain works can be used, modified, and distributed without restrictions. No licensing is required for public domain content, and you can claim authorship of any modifications made.
It’s important to understand the specific terms of each license type before using any content to ensure compliance with the agreement and avoid intellectual property infringement.
